Wedding Programs:

Are you preparing for your Wedding? Here are a few helpful tips for preparing for your first dance.

Start early and give yourself plenty of time before your wedding. Your schedule will only become more hectic with your Wedding day approaching. We recommend starting your lessons four to six months earlier to allow plenty of time to practice and become comfortable with your first dance, as well as other dances you may use at the reception or your honeymoon.

Leave the instructor to do the teaching and just enjoy dancing together. Encourage each other with positive feedback and allow the instructor to make any corrections.

If you haven't chosen a song. We can help you make a choice depending on what dances you enjoy and what sort of feeling you want to portray. If you have chosen your song then bring it with you.

Practice your dancing in the right type of shoe. Try wearing something that will be similar to what you will be wearing on your wedding. Also think about what type of clothing you will be wearing and let your instructor know if there is anything that will restrict your range of movement.

Be consistent with your lessons. The closer together your lessons are the more your body will be able to retain what it has learned. Also take advantage of the group lessons and parties. They are a great opportunity to practice and our instructors are always there to help you.

Be patient with each other and your own learning process. Dancing makes a great date night and can even be a wonderful stress reliever.
